pinBox’s Gift a Pension Model Launched in Kenya
In line with our commitment during the MAS-CBK Fintech Festival in July 2019, the pinBox team is delighted to partner with Zamara, Prudential, Equity Bank and Coop Bank to launch our global Gift-a-Pension initiative in Kenya. Gift-a-Pension Kenya provides Kenya’s middle and upper-middle income households a convenient and secure mechanism to educate and enrol their domestic help for an integrated micro-pension and insurance solution. On 11 December 2019, over 200 large Kenyan corporates, including the Kenya Retirement Benefits Authority, pledged their support for the Gift-a-Pension initiative to help expand coverage of regulated pension and insurance solutions to low-income women. pinBox will expand the Gift-a-Pension model to 4 more countries in Asia and Africa in 2020 in partnership with a consortium of leading product providers and financial inclusion stakeholders.
