pinBox and Zamara join hands to launch a digital micro-pension scheme for Kenya’s 17 million informal sector workers in collaboration with Prudential, Equity Bank and Coop Bank
pinBox Solutions and Zamara Kenya are delighted to announce their partnership and joint commitment to comprehensive pension inclusion in Kenya. Sopnendu Mohanty, Chief Fintech Officer of MAS, Nzomo Mutuku, Kenya’s pension regulator, Kiptum Godfrey, Kenya’s insurance regulator, Parul Seth Khanna, director and co-founder of pinBox Solutions, Sundeep Raichura, group CEO of Zamara, Gautam Bhardwaj, co-founder and director of pinBox Solutions, Raxit Soni, CEO of Prudential Kenya, Achint Ahluwalia, pinBox global product lead, David Nyakundi Bonyi of PinBox Africa and Nikhil Raj Aggarwal, pinBox senior research associate were present during this announcement at the Afro-Asia Fintech Festival co-hosted by Central Bank of Kenya and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) at Nairobi, Kenya. Zamara will use the pinBox Africa pensionTech platform to deliver a secure and affordable digital micro-pension solution to Kenya’s 17 million non-salaried workers. This is an important step in the pinBox mission to enable the 500 million excluded informal sector workers in Africa to accumulate micro-savings for a secure and dignified old age.
