Singapore-based pinBox Solutions unveils a customised pensionTech platform for Africa at the Afro-Asia Fintech Festival at Nairobi, Kenya
On 15 July 2019, pinBox unveiled and showcased its customized pensionTech platform for Africa at the inaugural Afro-Asia Fintech Festival 2019 at Kenya. The Africa platform was unveiled in the presence of His Excellency, Uhuru Kenyatta, Honourable President of Kenya, His Excellency Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Senior Cabinet Minister of Singapore, Dr Patrick Njoroge, Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya, Mr. Ravi Menon, Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), Mr. Henry R., Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Mr. Sopnendu Mohanty, MAS Chief Fintech Officer. Parul Seth Khanna, pinBox director and co-founder and Achint Ahluwalia, pinBox global product lead used the pinBox platform to open Kenya’s first national-ID linked digital micro-pension account for Vincent, a boda-boda (motorcycle taxi) driver in Kenya. The Honourable President of Kenya very kindly handed over Vincent his digital micro-pension membership card.
