Field Visit with cocoa farmers and a stakeholder workshop on micro-pensions with the National Pension Regulatory Authority (NPRA) at Accra, Ghana
Gautam Bhardwaj, co-founder of pinBox shared some ideas on expanding voluntary pension coverage and digital pension inclusion case-studies at a national stakeholder workshop co-hosted by the National Pension Regulatory Authority (NPRA) and The World Bank. This followed a field visit to meet roughly 100 members of the Fanteakwa Cocoa Farmers Association on the outskirts of Accra with William Price, Marlon Rawlins and Barbara Wiafe from The World Bank and ROLAND AVENYO-ADDICO, CCP from NPRA. Fascinating to see the high level of interest among cocoa farmers, including those already above 65 years old, to save for their old age!
