Stakeholder workshop with UNCDF on expanding pension coverage to Papua New Guinea’s 4 million informal sector workers at Port Moresby
Jagdeep Dahiya from the UNCDF and the pinBox team including Parul Seth Khanna, Gautam Bhardwaj and Nitin Gargshared a new policy framework, as also draft recommendations for an innovative pension and insurance product and process architecture with key stakeholders. The workshop was co-hosted by UNCDF and NASFUND at Port Moresby. It was attended by leading pension and financial inclusion stakeholders including senior officers from the Bank of Papua New Guinea (BPNG), commercial banks, insurance companies and development financial institutions. Valuable ideas and feedback was received from Elizabeth Gima from BPNG, CA Rajeev Sharma, CPA, GAICD, and Charlie Gilichibi from NASFUND and several ecosystem players.
